Office 365 spreads day by day with its new features. Except these revelations,Office 365 is working on security features and to evolve these features.Office 365,which has DLP,Spam Filter and connection filter,is trying to develop some simple and useful platforms for advanced security, reliability, e-mail protection with its Exchange Online Protection (EOP) team.

Microsoft has published 7 new features with EOP ;

1.Scheduled EOP reports
2.Domain-based email traffic support
3.Simplified block and allow
4.Quarantined message preview
5.Bulk release
6.Improving backscatter detection with Boomerang
7.Non-delivery report (NDR) backscatter storm prevention

Scheduled EOP Reports

One of the important point for IT employees is security and to report security. Office 365 enables to users so many features to secure e-mails and serious reporting options on Exchange Online side.You can see these on “Reports” tab in Office 365 Admin Portal. As you will see below, there are “Top senders and recipients”, “Top malware for mail”, “Malware detections”, “Spam detections”, “Sent and received mail” tabs under “Protection” option.There are “Top rule matches for mail” and “Rule matches for mail” options under “Rules” option. As you will see in options, Office 365 has so many technologies like spam filter, rules and DLP for e-mail secure. Reportings are possible also for these technologies and they can be scheduled. So IT admins can receive these reports as monthly or weekly. EOP will make this schedule easier.

IT employees are able to schedule any report about EOP. As seen in the figure “Sent and received mail ” report is observed . Two options appear in the right panel . “Schedule this report” sets the schedule of reports​. “View scheduled reports ” section provides to monitor the scheduled report.

You can set report settings if you choose “Schedule this report”. ”Title” is the name of the report and “Send report to” means who you will send the report. In default, all reports are delivered to all e-mails but you are able to filter it.

In “Schedule”, you can set these reports as monthly or weekly. You can also set this schedule when it starts or ends. So user can receive the reports monthly or weekly. After all these settings, reports are delivered to the users in scheduled time.

You can see the scheduled EOP reports in “View scheduled reports” part.

If you go on with “View Scheduled Reports”,  you can schedule new report or you can edit or delete an existing report.
